Overview

The sight from the top of Chom’a mountain provides a constant source of inspiration when viewed from the vast plains. It is also a natural focus for any fit trekker keen to summit the highest peak in Mekelle. While the ascent does not require any technical climbing, the trails are demanding and a sound level of fitness is essential prerequisites before attempting the summit.

What you will do

We drive to the choma surrounding which is beautifully located on the lower slopes of Chom'a and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure.

The climb begins on a small path through attractive forest that shelters a variety of plants with extensive views over Mekelle City

The morning walk is a steady ascent up to the top of chom'a hill with superb views of Mekelle City.

We will reach to the top of chom'a where by you take photos and have rest and enjoy the morning sun while preparing for breakfast

Breakfast will be served

You will be free to rest, explore the surrounding area or do ypu personal planned activity at the top of the chom'a hills

You will back up and ready for the return back journey

We will drive back to Desta International Hotel for lunch

Lunch will be served
